Did you guess the asking price for this small, 100-year-old house?
Yesterday we asked you to guess the asking price for this tiny 1-BR, 1-bath house in Crown Hill (or Ballard, if you prefer).
It was a stumper apparently, perhaps because of the place’s age or perhaps because of the uncertainty of the market. So we’ll just go ahead and spoil it by saying the actual asking price is…$435K.
This place was originally-built in 1916 and that’s pretty apparent. The updating has done it well without robbing it on a simple charm. This is a house where “cozy” seems pretty spot-on.
Warm colors and lots of natural light help the place from feeling claustrophobic. Out back there’s a charming backyard with a garden and hot tub as well as a finished second structure that can be your studio, home office, or gym. Location-wise, you’re close to Carkeek Park and not far from the 85th & Greenwood junction.
So now that you know, does the price sound right to you?
